South Korea International Craft Biennale 2015

Gabriela launched last year the world's first collection of 3D printed hats. This unique perspective extending the perception of artisanal craft and design forwards to the future and back into the past redefines what is to create true luxury in the context of its modern homogenization.

HANDS+ : Expansion & Coexistence

The exhibition will present “The Directionality of Craft”, where new materials made with cutting-edge technologies merge with innovative craft techniques to create new futuristic values.

Focusing on “hand”, craft’s most important tool and the element distinguishing it from other artistic genres, and observing various aspects of craft through the themes of “expansion” or “+”, this year’s biennale aims to explore the theme of “coexistence”, where traditional and modern technical developments exist together as equals in a category no longer of the individual but of community.
